Aubrey Clarifying Therapy

This is by far the best NATURAL skincare I have used for my acne prone skin. Nothing I have tried so far has worked as well as this range here. I actually wanted to give up everything else I have and just stick to this. But I've already purchased all the requested items to review. But here it is. THE BEST NATURAL SKINCARE FOR ACNE that I have tried so far.

The range uses 1% Salicylic Acid which is the most effective acne treatment, but too much can irritate and dry this skin. The rest of the ingredients will balance and purify your skin this preventing any irritation or dry skin.

Not only will this cleanse your skin but it will go to a deeper level to cleans the liver and support your organs. That's the Milk Thistle in there. The Blue Green Algae is a vegan source of omega 3 which we all need to be supplementing anyway. This will help sooth any irritation to the skin and keep your skin supple.

I'm sure you have all heard of Asprin face masks for acne prone skin. Well this range uses Willow Bark which is the source of Asprin. Before pharmaceutical companies added chemicals to it and made it bad for your liver, Willow Bark was a naturally effective treatment for pain and inflammation. It is used in this skincare range for just that. It can reduce the inflammation and redness of existing spots as well as preventing future break outs.

I could go on and on about all the other ingredients but this will be a long article but the main ones I can point out are:
Lavender - Calming the skin
Almond oil - Cleansing for the skin
Lemon - Evening skin tone and preventing excessive oil production
Clove - Antibacterial
Peppermint - Blood Circulation
Orange - Penetrating the skin layers and brightening the skin
Bergamot - Antibiotic and disinfectant
Jojoba - Moisturising

I could not recommend this range more. I love it. And the best thing is, it is totally AFFORDABLE!!

To Buy? GO AND GET IT NOW BEFORE IT SELLS OUT!!

For those whom this may apply to, it is a Vegan product and totally gluten-free!!

Gamila Secret Cleansing Bar

Gamila has a secret. So she puts this secret in our product and sells something so small for £20. The question is, Is it worth it? Actually the question is, what is the secret? But we'll talk about that later.

Gamila Secret offers a range of products for different skin types to help neutralize the skin and bring it back to its original state. So if you have ageing skin, you would buy the Rose one and if you have oily skin, you would buy the Lemongrass one (which is what i did). There are different ways of using this product. It can be used all over the body if you want it to. Especially the Rose one which is great for the décolletage. It can also be used by men as a shaving cream.

Now, lets get to the good stuff. Does it work? In short, YES. So they recommend you use it for a month straight to see the results but I saw then after a week. I didn't see anything miraculous but I did notice that my skin wasn't as oily. But I was still breaking out, but not as much. I carried on using it and didn't see a great difference after month. I also had to start reviewing another product but I can definitely say that this soap does what it is meant to do and by no doubt will the others disappoint.

The celebrities that use and endorse the product already have gorgeous skin. So where does that leave us? With the secret....

The secret (in my opinion) is what is not in it. And I'm not talking about chemicals and parabens but the specific part of the herb or fruit that is used to make this product. If you compare it to other natural skincare products, you can see the source of the ingredient but it is is a different part of the fruit/herb that is utilized. Maybe it is more potent, or maybe it is not, but these products are very carefully balances so that not only do they work on the body as individuals but that also work together. I'm not just talking about the skin but also other organs in the body.

This is a product I would use over and over again but I'm afraid I have plenty of other products to review.

To Buy: Please do. I've recommended it to a lady I know from Germany and she is absolutely in love with it. She buys a new one every few weeks.

MALIN+GEOTZ Acne Treatment

This is the worst thing for acne. Not only does it make it worse but it creates more. It increases the inflammation rather than decreasing it. It's doesn't kill the bacteria. It spreads it.

The good thing about this product is that it does not irritate the skin in any other way. there is no itching, burning nor any drying properties. So it is easy to get away from this product with no problems.

This silly product creates whiteheads and is just as bad as picking at your skin. Maybe this has to be used in conjunction with the test of the skincare line but on it's own is a total let down. There are a lot better products for half the price so do not waste your money on this.

To buy? Hell no

Trilogy - Certified Organic Rosehip Oil

I want to tell you about this brand that I have learnt a lot about recently. It’s natural skin care that works, and I can say that from personal experience. It is an all natural product. They also do have some organic certified products which I believe are the best product. I first started using one of their products about a month ago and I must say, It really does what it says on the bottle. So allow me to introduce you to TRILOGY.

Before I start, I would like to mention that this is not a paid advertising article nor am I being paid to write about them. It’s just that I want you to know that natural stuff does work; fast and effectively.

Trilogy is a brand that was created by two sisters. One was an accountant and the other had my dream job. She was a Beauty Journalist. They used to sell Organic Rosehip Oil to major companies and decided to do their own thing with the Rosehip oil. Their motto is ‘Maximum effect on the skin, minimum effect on the environment’. They are very environmentally friendly like that. Here is what they created.

All their products are FREE FROM: parabens, mineral oils, SLS, artificial colours and fragrances nor any animal derived ingredients (except for honey and beeswax)
They practice ethical trade practices, have recyclable packaging, are against animal testing and NON GMO as well have contain natural fragrances and colours.

So now that that’s all cleared up. Lets get to the good stuff. The products. I am not going to talk about them all in detail. Only one for now and I will talk about the others in future posts.

The whole brand revolves around this product. ROSEHIP OIL!! Certified Organic Rosehip Oil is a 100% natural plant oil. Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil is a powerful skincare product that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and wrinkles and dry skin. Its potent natural actives and 100% natural formula also make it highly effective for other skin concerns including ageing skin, dehydration and uneven skin tone. All skin types will benefit from the essential properties, even oily skins as oil battles oil.

Here is where you learn something new. The oil is also rich in antioxidants, Beta-carotene and Lycopene which fight free radical damage and help preserve skin cell structure. These are key nutrients for keeping skin healthy and  protected against the harmful effects of the sun and lifestyle stresses. This product will not block your pores.

It can be used on all areas of skin on the face and body except areas of broken skin that have not yet healed. It is suitable for pregnant women and even babies. It is even used as an aftershave. It is truly wonderful. I strongly recommend this to everybody I come across and also their spin off product which is a surprise that will be posted very soon.

To Buy: It’s a must have.

Collection 2000 - Primed and Ready Smoothing Primer

I have never been more impressed with the quality of this drugstore primer. This is best used with other drugstore foundations though. This would not work as well on a high end foundation as it would drugstore. When I used a high end foundation  (Estée Lauder Double wear) I noticed that the foundation started to break and it didn't last too long. However, with foundations like Maybelline Fit Me and and Dream Matte Mousse, they worked amazingly well.

The smoothing properties were amazing, ensuring that skin feels like silk. And the best thing about it is that it is air light. You won't even feel it on your face once applied. It’s very similar to Bare Minerals Prime Time. It goes on matte but there is a glowing aspect to it too. I’m not saying there are little specs of glitter in it, because i wouldn't like that either, but its almost velvet.

Surprisingly, it is wonderful at hiding blemishes and I've noticed that it has reduced redness somehow. So for all of you with acne, this may be a good step with your drugstore make-up routine. Not that you should be wearing make-up, but I know we all do anyway.

Since the ‘Primer’ came into the market, I have been on quite the hunt. I felt that I could only use primers with foundations that were of the same brand, but that isn't the case. For everyday make-up users, you will be happy to know that a little goes a long way with this product and it will last you a long time. And it only costs £5.99 (Boots). This product is suitable for all skin types

To be honest, there isn't much to say other than it is a wonderful product.

Helping Acute Acne

It has been a year since I ordered ProActiv and 10 months since I sent it back. In this last year, I have been through blood sweat and tears and I still haven’t got my old skin back. I still have the scariest of breakouts. The one this I wanted that would cut down my use of make-up has increased it. My confidence has gone down so much, which is new for me because I used to preach the importance of first impressions and appearance. I watched and read a million and one reviews and I have tried all the tricks. But every morning, I wake up with a new problem on my face. It really is taking over my life, because with everywhere I go and everything I do, I just worry about my face.

The other day, I witnessed people staring at me, or maybe I’m being paranoid. Both are just as bad as each other to me. I have ruined my skin completely. I even feel like I have no pride left. I have used a whole lot of products in the last year and nothing has changed. I drink a lot more water now, I only eat brown bread. I only sleep on clean pillow cases, and I don’t sleep a wink with my make up on.

Here are most of the products I tried:
Garnier Pure 3in1 Wash, scrub and mask
Laidbare Organic 2in1 Cleanser and Toner
Clearasil daily wash
St Ives Apricot Scrub
Clean and Clear Daily Scrub
Dermalogica Skin Refining Mask
Clear Complexion Tablets
Calcium Sulphate Tablets
PanOxyl 5 Aquagel
Quinoderm
Witch Blemish Gel
Freederm Cleanser
Freederm Moisturiser
Clean & Clear Morning Energy Moisturiser
Aqueous Cream B.P
Fish Oil Omega 3,6 and 9 1500g

All this hasn’t been kind to my pocket as well as my brothers pocket.

What more can I do?

I am on one more product now, and if this can’t do it then I don’t know what will. I hear that this is the saviour of all skin. CETAPHIL. I have the Cetaphil Daily Cleanser for all skin types along with the moisturising lotion. Again, these products were not kind to my brothers pocket. I want to wait about a month before I give up on the product. It has been about a week now and I haven’t seen any improvements to be honest. Even though this is made for all skin types, there may be a possibility that this may only work with dry and sensitive skin. There is a myth that may be true or may not be true which probably depends on your skin type and that is the purging of the skin. And that is what I wish is happening now.
Purging of the skin means that when using a new acne product, the skin will break out more for a short period of time before the healing begins. It’s like getting all the bad stuff out first.

Along with this I still use my PanOxyl Aquagel after cleansing, and I have decided to use my Dermalogica Refining Mask once a week.

I watched a video on YouTube which is one of very few videos that are negative against Cetaphil, but this video was filled with facts about all the chemicals in the product that will have long term negative affects internally. This has stopped me from buying Cetaphil in the past but now it has come to a stage where I can’t be patient anymore, and I am desperate to have acne free skin.

I do want to go back to using organic products again. And hopefully I will one day. But I need to clear my skin up. It's bringing me down badly, and This is the last straw before I go see a dermatologist.
